My Background:

I am a native Coloradan, born and raised in Nederland and Boulder, Co. I have personally experienced many injuries over the years as a competitive gymnast and soccer player and have gone through a significant amount of physical therapy for those injuries. This experience fueled my desire to help people and compelled me to begin my educational journey, earning a B.S. in Integrative Physiology/Pre Medicine, an equipment and mat certification in Pilates, specializing in both rehabilitation and fitness-based Pilates, followed by my Doctorate in Physical Therapy.

I have always set high standards for myself, completing hundreds of continuing education hours. My post-doctorate course work includes evidenced-based manual therapy techniques for the spine and the extremities, including: shoulder, hip, knee, foot and ankle rehabilitation, Functional Dry Needling, cupping and scraping, exercise prescription and more. During the pandemic, I became board certified as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist.

After starting a family, I became an avid runner. My training drove me to become a leader in the world of movement science and biomechanics. I have spent many hours of my post-doctorate coursework focused on treating running related injuries, including a 6-month certification in Advanced Clinical Biomechanics with the Movement Performance Institute in LA, where I became certified in running gait analysis, ACL injury prevention, and functional movement retraining.

I use my diverse background to look at the body as a whole. I break down the biomechanics of movement and gait patterns to address small limitations that may be impacting whole body movements. Addressing mobility limitations, creating stability and improving body mechanics and movement fluidity to return my patient to their functional, recreational or competitive levels is my passion! I utilize my Pilates background to help those with back and hip pain, postural dysfunction and general weakness to safely and effectively build core strength for sports and to increase endurance for all lifestyles.

It is my love of helping to care for, educate and empower others through health, wellness, and rehabilitation that drives me to provide the best care possible. My treatment style is patient-centered, with a combination of a hands-on approach and exercise-based techniques, guided by evidence-based research.
